Felicia thought Skylar had texted her to plead for mercy. However, when she clicked on the message, she saw that Skylar had taken a forceful approach. 

“Ms. Ingram, I’m sure you know the whole truth behind what happened between you and Charles. If you’re doing this because of the accident, I’ll make sure you regret this.” 

She did not beg, nor did she expose her vulnerabilities. 

Displeasure marred Felicia’s features. 

“Skylar has got some nerves to demand things from me after getting together with Joe. She even dares to threaten me. Does she think she’ll be able to push me around easily after my tough upbringing in Jipsburg?” 

Adele walked over and peeped at Feclia’s phone. 

Her heart skipped a beat when she saw the text that Felicia had received. She suggested, “Um, should we take a step back? Perhaps we should stop now? I feel like this is not an empty threat on Skylar’s part. She must be a woman with ingenious schemes. After all, she achieved her beauty through plastic surgery. 

Joe even fell for her.”

Time flew past in an instant. The sky outside had darkened. 

Freddie looked out of the window. The number of journalists outside had 

increased. 

He scrolled through Instagram and looked through the texts he’d received. He reported, “A few of the brands you work with have posted announcements that they’re breaking off their collaborations with you.” 

After Skylar came, they’d been trying to devise a solution together. 

His entertainment company handled Charles‘ Instagram account. He couldn’t even explain himself. 

Freddie was panicking big time. However, the siblings looked extremely calm, Skylar especially. She’d contacted a lawyer and discussed their next course of action with the police. 

Since Freddie’s social media had been taken over by his company, he was unable to speak out for himself. However, a lawyer could speak for him. 

They were waiting for their lawyer to finish a legal letter. 

Although a legal letter might not be taken seriously and wouldn’t change anything, they still needed to give it a try. 

“Mr. Martin has set out a public relations plan. We just need to wait,” Skylar said softly to Charles. He looked extremely exhausted. 

Charles felt guilty. He said, “Skye, I never thought that I would be the one to drag you down with me.”
