Skylar was enraged by Joe's explanation. What was he getting at by insisting that she was the one who wanted a divorce?
Oh. She got it.
"Alright, I'll wait for you to bring up the topic of divorce in the future. I won't be coming home in the coming weeks. If you need anything, just call."
Joe was probably bothered that she had suggested they get divorced before he had the chance.
Skylar found it unnecessary to continue their conversation. She walked to the door, put on her shoes, and left.
He was silent. His jaw was clenched tightly. As the door slammed, he banged his cup onto the table.

Skylar only remembered that night had fallen once she'd left Galaxy Villa. She had only brought her bag and her phone when she left. She had nothing else with her.
A cold breeze swept over her. She calmed down.
Just now, Skylar had been too impulsive. When she thought of his attitude, her heart sank.
Oh well. She had said what needed to be said. Skylar decided to stay in a hotel for the night. Tomorrow, she would pack her bags and move out of Galaxy Villa. This wasn't a bad idea at all.

The following day, Skylar applied for a leave.
First, she rented an apartment. Then, she drove back to Galaxy Villa.
She had splurged in the past few months and purchased a lot of stuff, and she needed some time to tidy up.
Without realizing it, she'd begun to treat Galaxy Villa as her home. It was a stark contrast to how strange it seemed to her at first. Looking at the familiar decor before her, Skylar felt as though there was a weight on her shoulders.
Her relationship with Joe was destined to fail. Joe probably thought they were just two lonely people comforting each other.
Skylar felt a tingling in her nose. She sniffled for a bit, and then she moved faster to tidy up.
