Chapter 798
Surprised, Skylar exclaimed, “Aiken?”
Aiken’s eyes brightened as he exclaimed in surprise, “Skylar?”
They’d run into each other at Zallory Museum.
She asked with a smile, “Have you come to Zallory for a business trip?”
“I’ve just arrived in the morning. I had some free time in the afternoon, so I took
a tour of the Zallory Museum. How about you?” asked Aiken.
“I got here yesterday, and came to the museum in the afternoon.”
As they chatted, they walked out of the museum.
Aiken glanced at the time and suggested, “Let’s have dinner together.”
Skylar looked at her watch and stated, “My treat.”
Aiken had been a great help when she was kidnapped. She hadn’t had the opportunity to thank him. Now, they’d run into each other.
He said, “Let’s go. I come to Zallory often, so I know my way around.”
However, he’d come and leave in a hurry most times, without staying to look. around. This time, he’d added something new to his itinerary. He wanted to take a tour of the Zallory Museum.
Aiken had recently cultivated some new hobbies. He was drawn to reading and taking museum tours. He’d also found out that Skylar liked fondue, so he booked a fondue restaurant for them.
Joe arrived at Yates Residence at 5:00 pm.
An hour ago, Cameron was informed that Joe would be visiting. He was pleasantly surprised.
When he used to live in Jipsburg, he saw Joe frequently. In the blink of an eye, Joe had become a powerful man capable of holding his own in any situation. Time truly waited for no one.
Cameron sent his helpers to prepare dinner and called his children home. After all, he was getting old, and Joe might not be able to chat with him about
certain topics.
However, it would be an entirely different situation with other young people
present. They had common topics with each other and would engage in lively
conversation.
Joe met with Cameron and his family. However, Skylar was nowhere to be seen. His mood soured, and he left before dinner.
“Dinner has been prepared. Mr. Martin, why don’t you stay for dinner before taking your leave?” one of Cameron’s sons tried to keep him.
His other children were surprised as well.
They had only heard Cameron praise Joe’s prowess. Others also whispered about how Joe was a legend in Jipsburg. They knew of the Martins‘ status in Jipsburg. Today was their first meeting with him. Yet, he wanted to leave after a few brief moments with them.
“It’s alright. I’ve got something to do after this.” Joe politely declined. He wished Cameron good health and left Yates Residence immediately.
Cameron didn’t try persuading him to stay.
Joe lit a cigarette in the car.
“Mrs. Martin might’ve gone back to Jipsburg after finishing her work,” said Paul the second he entered the car.
Joe frowned and insisted, “This has nothing to do with her. I came to visit Mr.
Yates Senior.”
