Skylar had paid a year's rent for her apartment. All she needed were a few personal belongings. However, Paul didn't leave a single nail behind and brought everything back.
"Everything's been brought back. Mrs. Martin, if you need anything else, I can go back tomorrow to get it." Paul was incredibly attentive.
Joe sat on the couch and saw these things. His expression relaxed more than it had earlier.
"Okay, thank you for your hard work," Skylar said, casting a meaningful glance at Paul.
She didn't believe Paul was oblivious to the current state of her relationship with Joe. With all her belongings brought back here, she would soon have to move them all out again.
Paul ignored Skylar's pointed gaze. He had his reasons for doing this.
He didn't think Joe and Vera were a good match. He knew Vera well, and something about her never sat right with him.
In his eyes, Skylar was perfect for Joe. Only when Skylar was around did Joe show a hint of humanity.

At Pearlhall Residence, Gloria glanced at the array of fresh fruits and vegetables in front of her. They were all homegrown, organic produce, free of pesticides and fertilizers.
"Send all of these to Galaxy Villa tomorrow," she instructed.
Edgar smiled and nodded. "Yes, Mrs. Martin Senior."
In fact, fresh fruits and vegetables were delivered to Galaxy Villa daily. But when Gloria learned the young couple had suddenly started living separately, she grew worried and decided to find an excuse to visit Galaxy Villa herself.
She had just heard that Skylar had already moved back.
"Joe is really… sigh! He can't even hold onto Skylar," Gloria grumbled.
Edgar could only chuckle along. "It's normal for young couples to argue sometimes. They fight at night and make up by morning. Don't worry too much, Mrs. Martin Senior. They'll be fine in a couple of days."
"I'll take a look tomorrow. I have a feeling this has something to do with Vera. Just a few days ago, Mr. Ruell Senior went to Avalon Residence. His intentions are obvious.
"Hmph! He didn't come to me because he's afraid I'll interfere. But it's not about intervening anymore. Joe and Skylar have already gotten their marriage certificate. They're a couple bound by law. Whatever plans they have, they're destined to fail," Gloria snorted coldly.
