It was because the sunlight was too dazzling, that's why she wanted to cry.
Nothing more.
Yes, it wasn't because of a mirage, where she thought she saw Tremaine's figure.
The corners of her lips stubbornly curled up and managed to form a smile after a lot of effort.
But paired with her eyes which shone with a sheen of fine mist, the facsimile of a smile looked odd.
"Mr. Tremaine." Sheldon hesitantly looked at him.
Earlier, they'd seen that Yesseca had given chase out of the mall.
Sheldon had assumed that Tremaine would pause, but who knew that that man would enter the car without hesitation.
At this moment, said man's eyes were shut tight.
He didn't open them even when Sheldon called out to him.
Time passed little by little.
After who knows how long, Tremaine's eyes finally blinked open.
His eyes were a little red around the rims.
Sheldon was shocked.
"Drive." Tremaine's voice was hoarse when he spoke.
"Yes." Sheldon started the engine.
Tremaine looked back to give the mall behind him a glance. Yesseca's figure was long gone.
But even so, it took him a lot of effort to pull his eyes back.
"Go and make some arrangements," Tremaine suddenly said, "Let her work comfortably in this mall."
When Yesseca returned, she received an earful from her supervisor.
"I'm asking you what you think you're doing? To suddenly run off in the middle of the dance like that, do you not want to work anymore?"
"I'm sorry, boss." Yesseca knew that she was in the wrong.
But who knew that the supervisor was so bad-tempered that he refused to let her off the hook?
"I told you that you must listen to me, the leader, when you work here. If there is such a situation next time, you can leave straight away. This time around, you will dance solo here as punishment."
There was nothing Yesseca could think of to say.
It was fine when they were dancing in a group earlier. For her to dance around by herself, it went without saying how awkward it would be.
A senior employee stepped forward and spoke up for Yesseca.
"Boss, let it go. Maybe something happened, she didn't mean to do it on purpose. The little lady being insensible, just let her off this time."
The leader gave a snort.
"Let this go? Can this even be let go? She disrespected me in public! I even called her! She ran away! She must dance for me here today!"
"She had already apologized, boss."
"What's the use of her apology! You must dance solo for me here!" The supervisor raised their voice. "Otherwise, who do you even think you are to run off just as you please? Really! Do you think you are the wife of the president? I heard that the wife of the president of Nashaland is also a commoner. She once sold clothes in a mall, proper as can be. Who does she think she is! How dare she violate the rules when even that lady did the same work well?"
With that said, a glare was thrown Yesseca's way. "Dance for me immediately!"
From start to finish, Yesseca did not say anything other than an apology.
After she had left Nashaland, her temper seemed to have grinded down to nothing.
At this point, if her supervisor asked her to dance, she would really dance.
There was nothing to be ashamed of.
After all, something even more shameful had already happened.
She'd ran a thousand miles to Nashaland, dreaming to spend the rest of her life with a man, only to be driven away just like that.
Hehe.
Compared to that, a dance was nothing.
Yesseca really danced there on her own, which drew a fair amount of attention, for other than the staff, there were customers around as well.
In today's society, it was common for a group of people to dance for the excitement, hence a solo dance was quite unusual.
