Yuliana sent the tonic over. The tonic was tested and there was nothing wrong with it.
She told Madam Quartley about the servants.
Madam Quartley nodded repeatedly.
She said, "Yuliana is sensible. I understand everything she has told me."
She paused for a moment before turning to look at the servant. "Then why did Ruth ask me to come over?"
Even the servants could not understand.
She said, "Miss Welmert is just very frightened. She wanted to see you."
Madam Quartley was unhappy.
She felt like Ruth was looking for trouble.
Yuliana was always like this, Yuliana did not cause any trouble. She came to give some gifts to Ruth. She even promised to look after Ruth's son, what was she frightened about?
How troublesome!
If it weren't for the fact that Ruth was pregnant with her great- grandson, she would never have come here.
"Madam Quartley, please don't give my son to Yuliana. Please don't give it to her," Ruth shouted as Madam Quartley came in.
Madam Quartley deliberately softened her voice and said, "Ruth, Yuliana has problems with her health. Won't it be a good thing to give your child to her? In the future, your child will be her child and she will raise your child as her own. Wouldn't that be great?"
Ruth shook her head desperately. "No, I would rather have my child be with you than with her!"
Madam Quartley said, "Ruth, this child needs a mother. I can't be a mother to him. Yuliana will be a good mother, she will treat him well."
"Madam, she won't. She won't be good to my child. She will destroy him!" Ruth shouted.
Her words made Madam Quartley upset.
Her face sank. "Ruth, what are you talking about! Yuliana has already promised me that she will treat this child as her own in the future. What do you mean she's going to destroy him? What are you talking about?"
"Madam, she'll really destroy him! Please don't give my child to him!" Ruth knelt down and continued begging Madam Quartley, "I beg you, don't give my child to her!"
She knew that if she told Madam Quartley about what Yuliana had said, she wouldn't believe her. The only way to get to her was to kneel before her.
She could only ask for Madam Quartley's help in this most humble way.
Madam Quartley panicked when she saw Ruth kneeling down.
After all, Ruth was pregnant with Zorion's child.
She immediately helped Ruth up and said, "Okay, okay, okay. I promise you. I won't give your son to her. I'll take him with me from now on."
Only then did Ruth stand up.
Her eyes were filled with tears. "Thank you, Madam Quartley."
Madam Quartley left after comforting Ruth. Ruth sat on the sofa quietly, staring at the ceiling.
Later, a servant came in.
Before leaving, Madam Quartley instructed the servants to accompany Ruth so that she would not feel bored.
"Miss Welmert, do you want some milk? Madam Quartley has requested that you drink more milk, it'll be good for the baby." Although the servant looked brusque, she spoke in a soft manner.
