Ruth would never forget it for the rest of her life if they gave her this blow now.
Tremaine wanted Zorion to give that blow to Ruth so she would give up on Zorion once and for all.
Zorion had already chosen Yuliana.
Then there was no point for them to continue their affair.
"Don't go." Tremaine said word by word, "Unless you choose Ruth and divorce Yuliana."
Zorion was stupefied.
Time ticked by.
Zorion still hadn't shown up.
Ruth's urge to see him had not faded over time but only grew stronger.
It was like a seedling in her heart, proliferating, filling her entire heart.
She kept begging Madam Quartleyto let Zorion come.
Madam Quartleywas also getting anxious. "I've already called Zorion. He will come."
However, he still didn't show up after another halfhour wait.
Madam Quartley worried Ruth would misconceive, thinking she forbade Zorion from coming.
She didn't mind if it were in normal circumstances. However, Ruth was giving birth now, so she didn't want her to misunderstand her, making another call, "Hear it for yourself if I've ordered Zorion to come."
The phone was answered in two shakes.
The servant answered it.
Zorion had no habit of keeping his phone with him, so Madam Quartley called the servants.
"Are you bringing Zorion over?" Madam Quartley asked.
"Madam Quartley, Mr. Zorion doesn't want to go."
Madam Quartley was stunned.
She didn't expect that.
She glanced at Ruth subconsciously, only to find that there was also a flash of disbelief in her eyes.
"Mr. Zorion, I want him to come," Ruth muttered.
Madam Quartley simply said, "Ask Zorion to answer the phone."
Soon, Zorion's voice came, "Grandma."
His voice was filled with sadness.
Madam Quartley said, "Ruth is giving birth. Are you not coming to see her?" "I won't." Zorion squatted down, put the phone aside, and buried his face in his knees as he covered his ears.
Zorion's action baffled the servant. Seeing his unusual behavior, plus Tremaine's presence, she didn't dare take the phone back, standing aside.
Madam Quartley looked at Ruth and said, "You heard that. Zorion doesn't want to come, so don't force him anymore. We have doctors and nurses here; everything will be fine."
Ruth gritted her teeth and stretched out her hand to Madam Quartley.
Madam Quartley understood that she was asking for the phone.
After some hesitation, she still handed the phone to Ruth.
Forget it!
They were at a critical moment.
As long as nothing happened to Ruth, she could do whatever she wanted.
