Preslie was speechless.
She had some choice words to say to Tremaine, but right now, she couldn't.
It wasn't because she was afraid of how powerful Tremaine was, she was just restraining herself.
She could see Tremaine's deep affection for Yesseca and how regretful he was.
Just then she thought, "I should agree to help him."
But then she quickly rejected the idea.
No.
She couldn't do that.
That morning, Yesseca told her very clearly that she never even wanted to hear his name again. She was clearly still hurting from what he had done to her. Yesseca made her promise not to ever bring him up again, she wasn't going to go back on her promise to her.
She and Yesseca were going to become female presidents of their own business together.
That beautiful future was waiting for them, it was calling to them. Yesseca didn't need to get entangled in a complicated relationship all over again.
Preslie had made up her mind.
She said, "I'm sorry I can't be of any help to you. There is no way for me to put in a good word for with Yesseca!"
Tremaine looked straight into Preslie's eyes and said, "Preslie, if you agree to help me with this, I will grant anything you request. Whatever you want."
Preslie looked at him in shock!
He was tempting her!
This made her very upset!
She said, "I may not have any wealth or power, but I am an honest person. I will never turn my back on a promise I made with my friend!"
She had outright refused Tremaine's request.
But, he wasn't angry.
Because Preslie had just proved herself as a real friend to Yesseca.
