The servant told Ruth to rest assured, telling her that they could take care of the children.
After hanging up on the phone, Ruth went to meet Yesseca.
After talking to Yesseca, Ruth left for the funeral hall.
She completed all her duties approximately at noon.
All the while, Yesseca had been waiting for her.
Yesseca brought Ruth into her store.
Upon seeing the bakery in front of her, Ruth's eyes widened slightly.
Ruth had heard from Yesseca before that she had a store to her name. However, she had reckoned that it would be a small shop. Unexpectedly, it turned out to be quite grand.
Desserts of various kinds were displayed by the glass window, looking extremely alluring.
Yesseca took Ruth up to the second floor and made a drink for her. She said, "This floor is for the customers to have a drink and relax, whereas downstairs is where we sell the pastries and desserts."
Looking around the bakery, Ruth then said, "Yesseca, I genuinely did not expect you to have such a grand store."
Not long ago, she had thought of Yesseca and how she was doing.
She had expected Yesseca to have a hard time after breaking things off with Tremaine.
However, that was not the case.
Yesseca did not look as frail and downcast as she had expected.
Instead, her face was glowing and her eyes were alight with energy.
The fact that she had opened such a big and magnificent store surprised Ruth even more.
Upon hearing Ruth's words, Yesseca smiled.
Truth be told, she was surprised too.
At first, baking was just a pastime of hers. However, after breaking things off with Tremaine, she had been extremely heartbroken. In order to keep herself distracted, she had started making desserts for her colleagues. Things then escalated from there, causing her to open her own bakery.
"I didn't expect all this as well." Yesseca said faintly, "I can't believe that I have my own career and that I've fulfilled my own dreams."
Ruth's eyelashes fluttered slightly.
