"You've made an amazing career for yourself, Yesseca. I'm very happy for you."
Yesseca could tell from Tremaine's tone that he was sincere.
He was actually happy for her.
"Thank you." Yesseca added, "Ruth, Preslie, and I have spent some time in Nashaland recently."
"We all agree that Nashaland looks even better than it's ever been. So many things have been improved compared to before."
"You turned Nashaland into an amazing country."
Tremaine smiled at Yesseca's words of praise.
Being appreciated made him feel less nervous.
He then said, "To be honest, I never expected you to break out into your own business."
"Is that so?" Yesseca asked.
She didn't sound angry at all.
Tremaine nodded.
Yesseca smiled. "Why do you say that?"
Tremaine's eyes misted up in reminiscence as he said, "Because I still remember you as the weak innocent girl."
"And women who have careers are always strong-willed and sharp. I didn't think you could become one."
Yesseca smiled as she reflected on herself.
She had thought the same as well.
She had always known how weak she was.
Especially when she was hospitalized.
Everyone was relieved that she managed to survive back then.
But none of them ever imagined how successful she would become.
"Actually, I felt the same way at first." Yesseca continued, "When I first left Nashaland, I was very depressed."
Before she could continue, Tremaine cut in and apologized, 'Yesseca, I'm very sorry for that. That was completely my fault.”
