My Human Mate novel Chapter 9

Blaze hurriedly went home and slammed the door to his room, real hard. He cursed and punched the wall in front of him, repeatedly. If it wasn't for Caleb stopping him, Blaze could have gone to Ella. Caleb said to him that he knows Ella won't listen to any words he has to say.

"Stupid, Blaze!" Blaze's wolf angrily said. "I told you to dismiss that girl, but you still talk to her!" his wolf added. Blaze slumped on the ground while pulling his hair.

"I know, bud. I'm sorry," Blaze said. The kiss caught Blaze off guard, but it didn't mean anything to him. Tracie – the girl who kissed her was just a little sister for him. Blaze doesn't love her nor likes her romantically.

"Blaze Matthew Reese! Come down right this instant!" his mother shouted. Blaze groaned in annoyance. He wanted to be left alone in his room, but when his mother called his full name, he couldn't do anything. Blaze opened the door and went downstairs.

"What is it, Mom?" Blaze asked. Candice – her mother's name and the former Luna of the Blue Moon pack, narrowed her eyes and smacked his shoulder.

"That hurt, Mom! What did I do?" Blaze asked while rubbing his shoulder.

"I heard from Caleb that you already found your mate!" Candice said, raising her voice in excitement. "Why didn't you tell us?" she added grouchily.

"Didn't Caleb tell you?" Blaze asked. Candice raised her eyebrows at her son.

"Tell what?" Candice asked and crossed her arms.

"She's a human, Mom," Blaze confessed. "My mate is a human," he added and slumped on the couch. There was a long silence between them. Candice sat on the opposite couch in front of her son's.

"That's a shocking revelation you got there, son," Candice said. She never knew it could be possible for a human to become mate with the werewolves but seeing her son right now, and the impossible becomes realizable.

"So, what are your plans to make her fall for you?" Candice asked with a big grin plastered on her face. Blaze frowned. He was expecting her to be more shocked or worried, but the reaction Blaze got was the opposite. His mother looks happy. Blaze heaved a sigh.

"What happened, son?" Candice softly asked.

"My mate saw Tracie kissed me outside the music room earlier," Blaze confessed.

"What!? Tracie kissed you?" Candice yelled. She couldn't believe her goddaughter could do it. Blaze nodded absentmindedly. "I'll talk your Tita Alice about this," she added.

"No, Mom. I can handle this myself. I'll talk to Tracie," Blaze said. Blaze knows Caleb already talked to her younger sister.

"So, what's your plan? I bet she's furious at you right now," Candice said. Blaze knows this very well. After knowing Ella's past, he felt like a jerk that he couldn't push Tracie on time. He was still working hard for Ella to trust her, but now it all crumbled to dust.

"I really don't know, Mom. Can you help me?" Blaze asked. He had been frustrated and confused. Blaze wanted to go to Ella right now, but he's sure that she won't face him.

"Serenade her, son," Blaze's father Blake, interjected. He looked at him. His father just got home from an important meeting. Blaze's father sat beside his mother and kissed the top of her head. Candice giggled like a teen and kissed her husband's cheeks. Blaze looked away.

"Your Dad's suggestion is good, Blaze," Candice said and leaned on her husband's shoulder. "Make her feel that you are serious with and only her. In that way, she might forgive you," she added. Candice couldn't wait to meet her son's mate.

"Thank you, Mom and Dad," Blaze said with a smile on his face.

"Now, give your mommy a hug, my baby," Candice said with open arms. Blaze's face contorted in disgust.

"Mom! I'm not a baby!" Blaze mumbled. Candice laughed together with her husband. Blaze loves seeing his parents like this. They are getting old as time passed by. He thinks it's good to see them happy wholeheartedly.

"I missed your sister," Candice blurted out all of a sudden. She was talking about her other child, Blaze's twin, Cassandra. Cassandra was admitted to Academia, far away from the pack. Blaze stood up and went to his mom. He kneeled in front of her and held her hand.

"We all missed Cassy, Mom." Blaze said. He wiped the stray tears that left her mother's eyes and hugged her tightly.
