In the past month, Lawrie recovered well and was finally discharged from the hospital. He was so happy that he was skipping and hopping on the bed, asking, "Mommy, does this mean that I can play with Larry every day now?"

"But I don't want you as my daddy." Lawrie pursed his lips and was about to cry. He nuzzled in Vanessa's arms and said, "Mommy, can you please tell me if he is my daddy?"

With a smile on her face, Vanessa hugged Lawrie in her arms. She gently kissed his forehead and said, "Why don't you tell me first, do you want this big bad guy to become your daddy?"

In fact, Lawrie was ready to accept Julien as his father, but he was afraid that Julien would steal his mommy away from him. He shook his head and then nodded. "I don't want anyone to take you away. As long as he doesn't take you away, he can be my daddy."
