Caspian laughed in exasperation.
"You don't change. You think it's never you who's wrong."
"I don't care to argue with you, so I'll show you something." From his briefcase, Brian pulled out a thin stack of papers and placed them on the coffee table.
At the top was a color print of none other than Aron.
Caspian frowned. "What are you doing printing his picture? Crazy, right?"
"Look at what's underneath." Brian tapped the desktop.
Caspian hesitated but picked up the sheets of paper.
Turning over the page of photos, Caspian was overwhelmed by the information he saw next.
"Northern Canakey's the Timberlake family? You're saying he's the youngest master of Northern Canakey's Timberlake family?" Caspian looked at Brian. "How is this possible!"
"I checked the land Evie bought a couple of months ago was Aron's." Brian sneered, "More precisely, the land was simply given to Evie by Aron. Silly boy, they probably hooked up before you and Dahlia got matched. You've been cuckolded and don't even realize it, stupid!"
"No way!"
Caspian subconsciously retorted.
"What's impossible? It's impossible that he's Aron, or it's impossible that you're being cuckolded?" Brian wasn't the least bit distressed that his son might be hurt by this.
The words were still extremely mean.
"Evie is not like that!" Caspian said word for word, taking Aron's introduction and throwing it back. "I was worried before that this person was a cheater who specialized in scamming money. Since his identity is so prominent, I'm relieved."
"Loser!"
Brian didn't expect Caspian to say such a thing.
Brian thought that the son he raised should be someone like him.
Caspian had always been what Brian wanted him to be once upon a time, too.
"You guys just broke up. They got married immediately, faster than you and Dahlia. Do you pretend to be blind to such an obvious cheating betrayal? Where's the masculinity I taught you?"
