Caspian pondered for a moment.
He pulled out his phone and scrolled through his previous call records with Athena.
Caspian: [Ms. Stella, I've carefully considered everything. There are indeed many suspicious aspects surrounding my mother's death. I want to join forces with you to ensure Brian faces the appropriate consequences.]
As Athena received the message, Evie and she had just arrived in the garage.
She glanced at her phone and handed it to Evie.
Evie grew concerned after reading the texts. "Could it be that Brian has become suspicious and is using Caspian to deceive us?"
Athena paused before smiling. "It seems like you don't like Caspian at all anymore. You instinctively categorized him into the antagonist camp, huh?"
Evie lightly tapped Athena, saying, "Stop making fun of me. What should we do now?"
"What should we do? We'll join forces if he wants to team up with me. I also want to see how a son plans to deal with his father."
As they spoke, another message from Caspian came in: [If interested, meet me at Mrs. Hansen's funeral home tomorrow at ten o'clock in the morning.]
"Why should we go there?" Evie immediately furrowed her brows.
She didn't want anyone from the Hansen family to disturb her mother again.
"Who knows," Athena replied with a heavy expression. "I'll go by myself tomorrow."
"No way!" Evie was on high alert. "We have to go together. I understand him. I can tell at a glance if he lies."
Athena noticed that Evie seemed to have no other emotions toward Caspian.
She smiled and nodded. "Sure, but you have to tell your husband about this."
"Okay." Evie nodded in agreement.
Then, as if she remembered something, Evie uttered to speak again.
However, Evie changed her mind in the end. "I don't want to talk about it."
Athena was clueless about what Evie was about to say.
"Didn't he meet Brian? He didn't even tell me," Evie mumbled.
