Upon hearing him, Dorian breathed a sigh of relief.
Moreover, his admiration for Athena grew. He then realized he had been petty, unfairly judging others by his narrow-minded standards...
"Dorian, we need to put aside our differences. It doesn't matter who leads. With Mr. Crawford's situation hanging in the balance, Mrs. Crawford must be under tremendous stress. We must come together and support Mrs. Crawford fully to help her in any way we can," Martin remarked.
"Absolutely!" Dorian replied instantly, "She's been nothing but good to my daughter, so I'm all in for her, no matter what."
Meanwhile, Adrian and Debra had arrived in Girard City by evening.
After checking into their hotel, they immediately contacted those men of Athena and requested a meeting.
But little did they know...
All they received was a short reply. "Mrs. Crawford is spending Christmas with her family and won't be available. Please be patient and wait until the Christmas holiday is over."
Adrian and Debra had always been the pride and joy of their community, adored by everyone.
They hadn't anticipated that they would be treated so coldly when they came to meet Athena!
With an air of arrogance evident, overweight Adrian impatiently turned to the butler who came with him and asked, "What about the Ross family? Aren't they here yet?"
"It seems they've already given up on Miss Annie Ross," the butler responded, "Given their massive collaboration with Imbe Group, Stella Group hasn't acted against them yet. They don't seem to be worried."
The Ross family was certainly not in distress.
They had confirmed that Heather, at most, was only aware of the murder case but had never been directly involved.
The worst she did was kidnap Athena, but she released her willingly.
The acts of murder were all carried out by Robert's subordinates.
"Damn it!" Adrian slammed the table furiously, repeating a phrase he had said countless times lately. "It must be that wretched Annie who brainwashed Robert, leading to all this mess!"
