Chapter 1701 Come Often
The old monk chuckled briefly in a way that was hard to understand.
"Forget it. These past few days, the pile of fruits in the monastery looks like a small mountain. We can afford to buy a few dishes." The old monk waved his hand dismissively. "Get the young monk to bring out those boxes of scriptures and let them air out."
"Yes." Brad was very obedient to his elder's instructions.
He folded his hands in prayer in acknowledgment.
The gaze of the old monk followed in the direction Sally had left.
In the center of the monastery, the grand tree was dense with summer foliage, appearing as if it could cover the entire sky.
After retracting his gaze, the old monk seemed even more silent.
He slowly turned and walked shakily toward the stairs.
Sally was unaware of Brad's disdain toward her.
She cheerfully found Elijah, who was once again caught in conversation with someone else.
Upon seeing Sally, Elijah gave a nod to the other person and approached her.
"What were you doing with the young monk? You seem so happy," Elijah said, straightening a twig from her hair.
Sally, with her sweet smile, replied, "It's not the young monk that made me happy. It's seeing you, Elijah!"
Elijah's eyes twinkled with amusement.
"Did a little greedy kitty sneak some ice-cream?"
Sally was taken aback.
She touched her lips, which weren't cold anymore.
