It took Sally half an hour to finish a bowl of oatmeal.
She didn't say anything, and Athena didn't say anything either, just be with her quietly.
Sally finished eating and looked down, remaining quiet for a while. "I regret everything," She said, "Why did I help a stranger? Why... Why didn't I force Micah to leave? He was still just a child. I should have ignored his wishes and taken him away. Maybe then, none of this would have ever happened."
"Those who have been in contact with Daisy before have repeatedly warned her to keep this matter low-key and not to spread it out." Athena lowered her eyes. "We feel for Daisy and have done what we can to aid her. The issue lies with the troublesome members of the Lyons family who caused disturbances."
Sally's fingers trembled slightly as he looked up at Athena. "So, that means we should stop helping people?"
"What do you think?" Athena threw the question back.
"Actually, I have been thinking about this issue on the way here." Sally's eyes turned red again. "But I know that Micah wouldn't want me to do this. He was so happy when he knew that I wanted to help Daisy..."
Athena looked at her.
She extended her hand to rest on the back of Sally's hand.
"I'm so confused about whom I should hate and seek retribution from!" Sally exclaimed.
"If you're uncertain, then keep it on hold for now. Just stay here. You can watch TV, play games, and read novels. Eventually, you'll figure it out," Athena said.
Sally looked at her, tears welling up in her eyes.
Upon seeing Sally eating something, Elijah took a sigh of relief.
Elijah slipped away quietly from the room after Sally fell asleep.
Byron and Athena were both in the living room.
Elijah apologized with remorse, "Sorry to trouble you."
