"It's nothing, just got dazzled," Byron said, smiling as he looked down at his daughter, "Mia, Daddy was lost in thought just now. What did you say? Can you say it again?"
"Daddy has been absent-minded lately!" Mia muttered, "The teacher said this month's assignment is about a day outdoors. Didn't Daddy say you wanted to take me and brother camping?"
"Sure, Daddy and Mommy already had that plan. I'll ask Mommy later and see when she wants to go."
"Okay!"
Mia let go of Byron's hand and ran to Athena, hugging her arm.
"I thought some kids only love their fathers now." Athena pretended to be jealous.
"I'm not that kind of kid. I love dad and mom both!"
Athena smiled, slowed down her pace, and waited for Byron to catch up.
Mia was very lively, seeming to have endless energy.
She walked a few steps while holding Athena's hand, then quickly ran towards Jaxson.
Jaxson didn't say a word. He just lifted Mia up high.
Athena watched and said to Byron, "Mia is such a happy child."
Byron nodded.
He looked in the direction where he saw the boy just now.
"What's wrong? You've been looking like you're searching for something since earlier." Athena looked at him.
"I think I just saw that boy just now," Byron said softly, "I'm still very worried. I'll give him a call later to check on him."
"Okay."
Athena didn't tell Byron that she had asked Mike to bring a few people to the town they went to yesterday.
They went there to handle Byron's fight incident and bring the car back. They also planned to look for the boy and find out if there was any way they could help him.
It was crowded near Aiden's school.
When Athena and the others arrived, Aiden had been waiting at the door for a while.
Thankfully, his good friends hadn't left him alone, but they didn't let him idle either.
A few kids were squatting on the ground, each holding an iPad, surrounding Aiden and listening to him explain the questions.
Seeing this, Athena waited until they finished solving the unsolved questions before getting out of the car and approaching them.
"Mrs. Crawford is here!"
"Little sister is here too!"
The kids greeted Athena's family with excitement.
When they reached Byron, everyone became a little restrained.
Byron seemed very dignified.
It was getting late.
The parents who came to pick them up were waiting in nearby cars.
