If "Byron" could touch him now, could he touch others?
When Byron thought of this, he did not realize that someone who didn't exist appeared in physical form in his mind.
Later, his psychiatrist told him that he could no longer tell where the boundary between reality and fantasy lay.
When he got to the first floor, he saw Athena at the elevator exit.
"When did you two become so close?" Athena looked up and teased them when she saw Byron and Logan walking down the stairs one after the other.
Logan tutted. "You are really weird, you know that? You kept talking about it when I didn't get along well with Byron. Now you're laughing at us for getting along?"
"Of course not! I'll talk to Evie later and give you a reward!"
"That's more like it!"
Logan headed to the living room while humming a song after his mission of escorting Byron was over.
In fact, he still did not like Byron very much.
Byron used to be a scumbag, and now he was a cripple.
In Byron's last checkup, the doctor couldn't tell what went wrong, but he still couldn't use his leg well.
Logan didn't know when he would recover.
"Why did you go upstairs?" Athena walked towards Byron. "You don't look well. What happened?"
Byron shook his head.
He waved the iPad in his hand and replied, "Mia wants to check her warehouse. Aiden made an app for it and downloaded it on the iPad. She records the stock of the warehouse every week."
"Aiden is used to making these things for her." Athena took the iPad from Byron and held his hand.
Most of the time, Byron's hands were warm.
But today, his palms were a bit clammy.
"I just washed my hands. It's a little cold," Byron explained. "Help me warm them up, will you?"
Athena's stare connected with his. She pinched his hand and smiled, "OK. Let's go and give the iPad to her."
"OK." Byron nodded in agreement.
When they walked to the living room, Byron asked casually, "What about work? Have you finished it?"
Athena shook her head. "No, not so fast."
Her tone was peaceful, as usual.
She didn't give anything away.
Byron breathed a sigh of relief.
"Alice has made great progress in cooking recently. The soup is so good. You'd definitely like it," Byron said.
Now that Alice didn't have to follow Mia everywhere, she decided to focus on her cooking.
Alice was worried that she would lose her job if she didn't take care of Mia closely.
