The next day...
Their daily routines finally returned to normal.
As usual, Byron went to Imbe Group.
The children went to school.
Athena sent Rose to the airport and then headed straight to Chelsea Investment Company.
She didn't have much to do there.
In the office, she was more focused on the important projects of the Stella Group in the second half of this year and the first half of next year.
Athena had always immersed herself in work whenever she was in her office.
However, today was a bit unusual.
She couldn't focus.
She looked at her phone from time to time. Every time she looked, she would find all kinds of notices, but none were from Mike.
At lunchtime...
As they agreed, Athena went to a restaurant near the Imbe Group Building and had lunch with Byron.
While eating, Byron mentioned going to an inspection of an island for a project.
"Honey, when do you think it's better for us to go there?"
Athena thought for a moment.
She had indeed been feeling a little depressed recently.
If Byron didn't mind going to the island, she would stay with him for a few days.
"Why not today? Let's go after you're done with your work," Athena said directly.
Byron was stunned. "Today?"
"There's nothing to prepare anyway. It's mainly about the project design. Two days are enough."
Liam was reliable and competent.
He was in charge of the project on the island, so Athena had nothing to worry about.
"Alright." Byron nodded and said naturally, "The sooner I come back, the quicker I can start my sessions with that expert. I don't want to fly around when it starts."
Previously, Byron had been averse to it when she mentioned the treatment.
But now, he was so calm.
Athena finally felt relieved.
"You're right. I'll arrange it then."
"OK."
Byron had a meeting in the afternoon.
The meeting was over at 3: 30.
Byron and Athena went back home to pack their things for the trip.
When the kids came back from school, they told them about it.
Aiden was as calm as ever.
They had thought that Mia would cry a little.
However, Mia wasn't the five-year-old little girl anymore. She had grown a year.
She even smiled enigmatically. "Oh, I see. Daddy and Mommy are going to enjoy a few kid-free days, aren't they?"
"You can think of it that way." Athena affirmed with a smile.
