Rebecca frowned slightly and asked, "Shouldn't my office be on the top floor?"
"Ms. Panter, the top floor is the president's office area. As Miss Newton's executive secretary, your office is not on it," the manager replied politely.
Rebecca was not satisfied with the arrangement. "Where is Miss Newton?"
"I have no idea about it. Miss Newton will inform you if she needs anything."
As the manager left, Rebecca's expression turned completely gloomy.
She walked into the office step by step, which was well-located with a beautiful view.
But she didn't feel like Athena's assistant.
As Rebecca was lost in her thoughts, there was a knock on the door.
It was a competent girl with a stack of papers in her arms.
"Rebecca, right?" the girl put down the papers in her hand and added, "I am Jenny from the Office of the President. Miss Newton asked me to bring this pile of papers to you."
"What is it?" Rebecca glanced at the girl's work card and found her indeed from the Office of the President.
"Next quarter, Imbe Group will start a very important project. This is all the financial statements of the other company in the past ten years. Miss Newton needs you to sort these data into categories before next Monday," Jenny explained.
Rebecca looked at the pile of papers before her.
"It's already Friday today."
"I know it. You just took over, so Miss Newton specially extended your deadline until next Monday," Jenny explained sincerely.
This was the first time Athena had made an exception for a newcomer.
The staff in the Office of the President had been discussing it early in the morning, curious about the identity of the newcomer.
After all, Athena's previous assistant was very capable of work.
Rebecca looked embarrassed.
But under Jenny's expectant eyes, she still agreed with it.
After Jenny left, Rebecca sat down, picked up the top one, and turned it over. But she felt ill when she glanced at the stacked numbers.
Athena intended to attend a meeting at the moment.
After Liam answered the call from the Office of the President, he looked at Athena with some concern. "Miss Newton, the project is very important for us. Could Ms. Panter finish the data?"
Liam had looked through Rebecca's resume and found she had no work experience before.
Although her previous college was professional, her grades were too low to meet their requirements.
In Imbe Group's normal talent selection process, there was no way to get into the company, let alone a key role.
"Don't worry. I'm just arranging for her something to do. Another team is responsible for the project," Athena looked at the information in her hand and said calmly.
