Fortunately, I was feeling kind-hearted enough to spare Rowane, so I held back my impulse to cough. I gritted my teeth in a forced smile, almost gnashing my teeth. "Don't you have any hands, Mr. Roberts?"

I looked back at Hendrix, speechless for a moment. What was he trying to do?

Putting down the fork, I lost my appetite. Looking at Hendrix, I said, "Mr. Roberts, if you don't like her why don't you just tell her directly. When you use this method, how can you be regarded as a gentleman?"

"I'm not a gentleman at all!" He smirked. "What's more, I'm a married man. As a woman, she should not get close to any married man. That is the basic principle of decency. I don't need to tell her that!"

I grouched, a little flustered under his direct gaze. I said, "We are divorcing. You are a bachelor. You can't blame someone for falling in love with an outstanding person like you!"
