I nodded. "She asked me out for dinner tonight!"
He raised his eyebrows and asked, "Are you not going to take me with you?"
Err...
"I think it may be awkward for you to go with us, and a girls' outing can be quite trivial..." It was not that I didn't want him to go to Master Attwood's house.
It was just that I still have a lot of questions about my grandmother, and I wanted to find them out myself.
He leaned back slightly and did not linger on this topic. He then asked, "Have you ever been interested in Sebastian?"
I almost bit my tongue in surprise! I stared at him with my eyes wide open. "What do you mean?"
But alas, it was not a surprise that he would think so given what had happened.
He retracted his gaze and looked a little more relaxed. "You and Naomi are good friends, and she and Sebastian are also well- matched. So you'd better not have any hopes on Sebastian!"
Exasperated, I stood up from my seat and glared at him, "Hendrix, I'm afraid you are out of your mind!"
I was so angry that I didn't want to say a word to him, so I left the hotel right away.
Linda was at the entrance. She saw that I was angry and thought that something had happened. Looking at me, she asked, "What's wrong? Did you guys quarrel again?"
I suppressed my anger at once. "Hendrix is just an idiot! A complete idiot!"
Linda originally wanted to probe further, but somehow she shut up and held back her laughter.
I knew that she was laughing at me for scolding Hendrix like that. I curled my lips and continued to relieve my anger. "How could I ever have feelings for Sebastian? Is Hendrix blind? How could he think that way?"
Linda held back her laughter and said, "Arianna, you could just directly tell Mr. Roberts this. It's not good for you to be angry with him like this!"
