I sat back at the table and continued to eat with my head lowered. Just a few minutes later, I couldn't sit still anymore.
Hendrix had been looking at me all the while, which made me a little uncomfortable.
I forced myself to finish the last bite of food. Then, I looked at him and said, "I'm done eating!"
He put down the knife and fork in his hands, looked at me with a more serious look, and said, "Did your dear Mr. Roberts stop you from having your breakfast?"
Feeling slightly embarrassed and irritated at the same time, I said, "Hendrix, stop teasing me!"
He burst out laughing and got up to walk towards me, a doting look in his eyes as he said, "Did I tease you?"
The audacity!
I didn't say anything else, but his phone rang just at the right moment.
"You should answer your phone!" After saying that, I went straight upstairs.
Hendrix had been so unrestrained lately, and he wasn't controlling himself at all.
I had planned to have a good rest over the weekend, but I didn't expect Naomi to call me.
In her usual tone, she said, "Arianna, let's go to Lancille Village to visit my grandfather. Last time, we mentioned that we would go there, but we ended up not going."
I had totally forgotten about it. I nodded and said, "Sure, are we going now? Or should we wait until one o'clock in the afternoon?"
"Let's wait till the afternoon. We'll just stay there for tonight. I haven't gotten up from bed yet. It'll probably take a while for me to get everything done. I'll come pick you up when I'm ready!"
I nodded and said, "Okay, you can call me then." I suddenly recalled what happened last night.
