He raised his eyebrows and gently stroked the bridge of my nose. "Smart girl!"
After thinking for a while, I called Aaron, and it didn't take long before he answered the phone. I was a little surprised because I thought he would not pick up. After all, Yana had said that his phone was unreachable.
Still, after ringing a few times, he answered the phone. "Why did you suddenly call me? I thought you were so happy these days that you forgot about me."
I put my hand on my forehead and said with a smile, "I've been busy recently. Yana just called me and said that something happened to Mr. Reid. Are you all right?"
I could tell that he was frowning, even through the phone. "Why did she call you? No one needs to be involved in Uncle Charles' affairs. It's not that complicated. You don't have to worry about it."
"Hm," I said, but could not help asking, "What's wrong with you and Yana?"
I'd always had a feeling that it wasn't just a simple fight.
"What else could it be? It's just a small matter. Do you have time tonight? Come out and have dinner with me. It's been too boring recently. No one talks to me."
Listening to his nonchalant yet faint voice, I nodded and said, "Okay, let's have dinner together."
"Okay, I'll give you the address later."
After that, he hung up the phone. I looked at Hendrix and said with a smile, "Let's go out for dinner tonight?"
He raised his eyebrows and asked, "Did you agree?"
I nodded.
He stopped talking.
