He laughed dryly and declared, "What do you mean I have nothing to worry about? I'm distressed! If I'm going to be here alone, it is no different from staying at a hotel. No, you have to stay here tonight, or I won't sign the agreement. No way."
His despicable behavior rendered me speechless. How could he be so childish?
"Mr. Hayes, I don't think your request is reasonable at all. Besides, I'm a married woman. Do you think it's appropriate for us to stay together?"
"Why not? I'm not asking you to sleep in the same bed as me. I don't care. Anyway, you can't go tonight. You have to stay here. I won't change my mind even if you call and complain to Hendrix. Also, I don't want to eat anything else. I'll only eat the pasta you make. It's the same for dinner. You have to cook for me, otherwise, I won't sign the agreement. It's all up to you!" Tobias said haughtily and went straight to the bedroom.
I was speechless and didn't know what to say. I didn't think it was inconvenient for him to live here. The villa was so spacious that it didn't matter if there was one extra person. What's more, I had lived under the same roof with him before,
but this time, I was worried about Sebastian.
Hendrix said that he would come to me for the box. Judging from the current situation, I believed that Sebastian would not come directly to me. Instead, it was very likely that he would think of a way to secretly get his hands on the box.
This villa was the longest place Hendrix and I had ever stayed in. If he really wanted to come here and find the box, it would be fine if we weren't around. After all, he wouldn't be able to find it. However, if I spent the night here, I was worried that Sebastian would use me to blackmail Hendrix for the box.
Tobias unpacked his luggage in the bedroom and came downstairs. Seeing that I was almost done with the pasta, he got the cutlery ready. He inspected the pasta and asked, "Do you know how to make other dishes?"
I shook my head. "No, I can only make pasta!"
He curled his lips. "I knew it. It's already a miracle that a woman like you knows how to cook pasta. I've underestimated you!"
He could be really irritating at times. I glowered at him and murmured grumpily, "If you keep saying nonsense like this, I will toss you out of the house. Hendrix can come back and talk about the agreement with you himself. I am not a shareholder of the Roberts Group. What you want is none of my business!"
He clicked his tongue and responded, "Look at you. I merely spoke the truth and you're already provoked. Look at other women. They always have on beautiful makeup and are properly groomed. Now, look at yourself. You don't know how to dress up and you don't wear any makeup. I suspect that you've entered menopause already."
"Ow!" I couldn't hold it in anymore and stomped on his foot in anger. He groaned in pain. "Arianna, you're crazy. Why are you stomping on me? It hurts!"
"If you continue to give more pointless comments, I will continue to step on you. The pasta is ready. Put whatever sauce you want. Don't put too much though, or it might not taste good." Sometimes, Tobias could be more childish than a kid.
He looked at the pasta sauce in the bowl. After a moment of hesitation, he replied, "Um, could you help me? I have never done it myself, so I'm not sure how much I should put."
