We left the house soon after that. Hendrix drove while I sat in the passenger seat and looked out of the window. The gloomy Jarold City weather had suddenly cleared up. It was rare to see the clear blue sky.
"It's almost the end of the month. It's also rare to see the sky looking so sunny. By the way, Christmas is right around the corner. I wonder if it will snow!" It seemed that it snowed every year in Jarold City. If it snowed this year as well, then Christmas would be a very likely occasion.
Thinking of this, I couldn't help but start planning for Christmas. For so many years, it seemed that we had never celebrated Christmas seriously.
Hendrix drove the car and looked straight ahead. "Is there anything you want for Christmas?"
I turned to look at him and pursed my lips. "Mr. Roberts, do you realize that our relationship is too boring? It's like we have been married for decades. There's no longer any passion in our relationship."
He frowned slightly, then stopped the car at the side of the road and stared at me with deep eyes. "So, do you mean that I should find something fun
to do?"
Seeing that he had suddenly stopped the car, I couldn't help saying, "Why did you suddenly stop the car? Aren't we going to see Aunt Nerissa?"
He leaned closer towards me. "Let's talk about our problems first."
"What's the problem?"
