Due to the law firm being under the name of the Reid Group, logically speaking, no one would dare to stir up trouble, but the dispute lasted for a while. It seemed that even Fabian went forward, but he still could not dissolve the fight. It was still very lively outside.
I couldn't sit still, so I opened the door to take a look.
Fabian led several employees of the firm to the entrance of the pantry. The corridor was crowded with people. The man in the middle was wearing glasses and a gray checkered suit, and he looked terrible. It seemed that he was not here to cause a mess, but he was just a dissatisfied customer.
"What's wrong?" I asked as I went over with a smile, keeping my calm as how a boss should.
Upon hearing my voice, everyone turned to look at me. The man pushed his glasses up his nose and stared at me with a gloomy face.
Fabian walked over to me and whispered, "The client's dispute is about the Forbes family. Miss Reid, we did as you have instructed, to do business and not to offend any of these families. I wanted to send him away in a polite manner, but he said he wouldn't leave and that he would report us to the bar association."
I looked up at the man in question and nodded to let Fabian know that I understood.
"It seems that you're the one who has the final say here, aren't you?" the guy asked with a sullen face.
"Yes, I am." I kept my smile and pointed to the direction of the office. "Sir, if you have anything to say, we can have a chat inside. I have other clients to attend to, and we have no reason to bring others into this."
As the saying went, the foe of the enemy is a friend. I wanted to see what this fellow was scheming, now that he had come to us, the Reid family.
He pondered about it for a moment and strutted into my room.
As soon as he sat down, he began speaking. "Since you're making me stay, it means that your firm is ready to take on my case, right?"
He crossed his legs and sat opposite of me with his hands placed on his knees. He twiddled his thumbs in circles out of boredom. From his temperament, he did not seem like someone ordinary.
