My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1890

However, we didn't come across any department that developed poisons. The research labs looked normal, and everything done there was legal and of standard.

In the last room, we ran into Sebastian who was busy patrolling.

"Mr. Jordan, why did you bring them to my place?" Sebastian asked as he stared at us coldly. He did not bother hiding his disdain for us at all.

Jordan's expression was indifferent. "I was looking for you. You should put the projects you have on hand aside for now. I have other arrangements for you."

"Arrangements?" Sebastian sneered and looked at me and Hendrix with malicious intent, "I initially thought that you were the only humane person, Mr Jordan. But now, I realized that you are nothing but a snake like the rest of your family. Now that your family is reunited, you've ganged up on me? The Milton family was driven to ruins because of your family. How are you going to repay me?"

"If the Milton family hadn't done those shameful things, the police wouldn't have caught them," I couldn't help interrupting.

What I saw with my own eyes in Sebastian's villa was still fresh in my memory. How dare such a person still claim himself innocent after what he did?

No mother in the world would remain silent when facing her child's kidnapper. I was about to speak again when I felt Hendrix quietly tugging at my clothes, indicating for me to not be impulsive.

"You've caused me a lot of trouble," Hendrix said as he looked at Sebastian with a faint smile. He reached out instinctively to protect me. "But now that we all work for the Marshall family, for the sake of my father, I can forgive you and let bygones be bygones."

Hearing this, I took a deep breath and frowned unconsciously. Then, I looked up at Hendrix.

Sebastian had been dissatisfied with the fact that Nathan tried his best to protect us, and he might still be angry about the matter. Was Hendrix deliberately trying to provoke him?
