My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1897

Sebastian had also taken notice of Hendrix and Evan's movements. As if he had seen through us, he tossed the gun in his hand to the ground with a smile and collapsed onto the chair.

"Let's fight to the death then. I won't feel too lonely with you guys in hell with me," he laughed.

I took a deep breath as I watched him laugh like a maniac.

It didn't matter if we lived or died, but the children were still on the island. We hadn't come back from a narrow escape just to sink into despair again.

Hendrix suddenly instructed, "Evan, take my wife away and have her stay with my children."

"Understood!" Evan nodded respectfully and then helped me up. "Madam, come with me."

I didn't know what Hendrix was going to do. I shot him a blank stare. I couldn't leave him alone.

Hendrix knew me well enough to know that I would not leave. He turned his head and said with a smile, "The two kids are less than a year old."

I was stunned by Hendrix's decision. At this crucial moment of life and death, he still hadn't forgotten that he could use the children to force me to make a concession, to force me to live.

Looking into his smiley eyes, I clenched my fists tightly. "Don't worry."

After that, I got up and prepared to head back with Evan to take care of the children.

However, just as I turned around, Sebastian's upset voice rang out. "Hold it right there!"

"Arianna, do you think your family has the final say here? Do you really think you can come and go as you wish?"
