My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 1923

The man's gaze lingered on my face for a while, then he quickly shifted it away. He said respectfully and politely, "I just wanted to ask if anyone has been leasing houses nearby. I think the environment in this area is pretty good. I'm planning on renting a room for my boss."

"I don't know much about this. Why don't you ask the property management? I can help you get their number," I offered.

This man felt rather amiable, so I turned around and went back to the house to ask the servant for the management's contact before handing it over on a post-it note.

The man received it very politely and said earnestly, "Thank you so much."

"You're welcome. We'll have to look out for each other if we become neighbors," I quipped.

"Yes, of course," he agreed.

The gentleman responded politely then left without a word.

It was just a small interaction, so I did not think much of it.

It was not until two days later when the same BMW vehicle appeared again. I happened to notice it when I carried Irvin's cat out to play with it in the front yard. This time, it stopped at the exact opposite of the villa's entrance.

The door opened, and the first person who came out of the car was the one who had approached me the other day.

Following that, the man went to open the door of the back seat. Two other males, one bigger sized than the other, got out.

Before I could react, Wynn had already seen me. "It's the pretty aunty!" he exclaimed.

Hendrix loosened his grip and the boy ran towards me.

There was a road between us. I was afraid that something would happen to the child, so I immediately put the cat down and took a few steps forward.

The little one hugged my leg and raised his small head to look at me with a smile on his face. "It's so good to see you again!" He gushed.

"Haha, did you forget? I live here," I beamed as I rubbed his bed of hair, and I let him look at the house behind me clearly.

It was raining the other day and children didn't have the best memory. Moreover, this villa and its surrounding area was nearly identical, so it was really hard to recognize it.
