Hendrix calmly glanced at him and held out his hand to me, "Honey, give me the money."
I wasn't used to him calling me honey. I quickly took out my credit card and passed it to him, trying to avoid his eyes.
Aaron gave me this card when we were in the hotel and said that it had unlimited credit on it. I had never used it before so I didn't know if it was enough to pay for such a priceless work of art.
Hendrix didn't mind at all. After taking the card, he walked over to the staff who was in charge and told him that he wanted to purchase the painting.
The payment process went smoothly. After signing the contract, the deal was done and the painting would be sent to the house by a specialist.
After settling the bill, Hendrix returned the card to me and made to leave.
Jordan was busy entertaining his guests, and wouldn't have time to see us off. So Hendrix led us to the side door.
After leading Aurelia into the car, Jordan caught up with us, "Hendrix, Arianna, please wait."
"What is it?" Hendrix turned around and asked calmly.
Jordan smiled slightly as he looked to the side, allowing his assistant behind him to step forward and show him a painting that was sealed in craft paper.
"My apologies that the staff didn't recognize you. You can take any painting you like, there's no need to pay for it. I'll arrange for someone to send the painting back with you and place it in a suitable spot."
