I knew Ian's hometown was Jarold City. After a pause, I asked, "Are you coming back for good then?"

He shook his head, "It depends on how you're doing. But I think I'll still have to return to Mesville in another two days to settle some matters."

Upon arriving at the hotel, Ian passed the car to the valet service. Monique woke up and got out of the car, and stared at him. "Why don't you set up your clinic here in Ucrebury? It's convenient for us to see you if you did."

Ian looked at her and chuckled, "What's wrong? What do you have? Do you have fluctuating mood or negative thoughts?"

Monique rolled her eyes at him and didn't say anymore.

Since we booked the room in advance, the check-in process was fast.

Ian lazily mumbled under his breath after we entered his room, "I don't like staying in the hotel. It's so boring and lonely."

I checked my phone and realized that it had run out of battery. Meanwhile, Monique passed out on the sofa. She must have been exhausted. So there was only Ian and me.

"Around half a year ago," I answered but paused to think for a while before I continued, "I'm always sad, and I would act impulsively, like putting myself or the baby at risk."

"It didn't happen often. I only lost control several times," I told him truthfully.

He rubbed his temples and said sternly, "Arianna, you know how you were five years ago. So you must take care of yourself. If that happens again, both you and your child will be in danger."
