My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 2225

"You heard me. Hendrix isn't going anywhere and will be staying at home. Achieve your ambitions on your own. Don't even think about using my man."

The estrangement between Hendrix and myself was an internal dispute that we would settle ourselves. When faced with outsiders, showing weakness was equal to admitting defeat and I had never tasted that before.

Jordan frowned. He looked disgusted at me. He probably hadn't taken into account the shrewd side of me.

But he soon adjusted himself and put on a faint smile, making me feel uneasy.

"Arianna, why are you doing this? You know I would never harm you."

I sneered, "Good. I'm very interested to see if you even could if you had to."

Jordan was much too good with words and he looked confident that he would win. He gave people a feeling that every word he said was more powerful than a god's.

I however, didn't believe in God.

I had lived up to my conscience and had never relied on anything to alleviate my guilt. I was immune to Jordan's threats.

This also proved that Hendrix was mentally unwell.

I then intertwined my hand with Hendrix's tightly. Afraid that Jordan couldn't see this clearly, I deliberately lifted up our hands to show him our determination and that we would never be separated.

If a couple worked together, nothing would be a challenge. As long as our hearts were in it together, no one would be able to destroy us.

This seemed to hurt Jordan. This was the first time I've ever seen a look of undisguised anger on his face.

He stared at us with his dark eyes, then took out his phone and quietly dialed a number. "Come inside."
