My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 2310

I was stunned for a moment, and then I realized that Jordan seemed to think that Hendrix had rejected me.

Obviously, he was here to add insult to injury and was ready to ridicule me.

It seemed that those text messages in the morning had quite an impact on him.

"He is something, isn't he? He says he will stop loving me, and he did just that. Now, he's too busy flirting with some other woman. You, on the other hand, don't even know what it feels like to love someone," I said with a smile.

One should never offend a woman, especially the woman that one cared about. Otherwise, one would know how it felt to be insulted back tenfold.

Jordan's initially pleased face darkened instantly. He lowered his eyes. Even though he was standing under the light, it did not hide his gloomy aura. "Have you forgotten what the consequences are for pissing me off now that you're out of the hospital?"

I knew he was a man of his word. But he had forgotten that when I wanted to be annoying, I could be much worse than him.

"I didn't, so you better aim better this time," I provoked him while pointing at my heart.

I was fearless as I knew he would be anxious after laying a hand on me.

Jordan took a deep breath to calm his anger. Then he said faintly, "The only reason you are alive is not because I care for you, but because I get to decide when you live and when you die. Do you understand me, Arianna? You are this close to death right now."

"Really?" I put down my hand and walked toward him in disbelief. I began to circle him, his eyes followed my footsteps unconsciously.

When I was behind him, I stopped and asked, "Will I die faster this way?"
