My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 615

Fortunately, I saw a taxi coming from a distance and I raised my hand to stop it. After that, I looked calmly at them and said, "The taxi is coming. Thank you anyway!"

After getting in the car, Anne was fast asleep, not waking up even after we returned to the Bronzy Condo. I put her to bed and cleaned up. Afterwards, I picked up my cell phone to order some dishes.

There were several missed calls which were from both Hendrix and Ian. I was supposed to call Ian, but since I arrived late the night before, I had forgotten about it.

It wasn't the weekend. Ian must still be at work, so I sent him a message and told him that everything was fine.

I called Hendrix on the phone. When the call got through, I could hear that it was really quiet at his side. His voice was low, "Were you very busy in the morning?"

I threw the clothes I had worn in the morning into the washing machine. The mountain road was muddy, so getting it dirty was inevitable.

"I brought Anne to look around." There was movement from the bedroom, Anne seemed to have woken up.

I got up to go and take a look.

"Do you have any plans in the afternoon?" Hendrix asked from the other end of the line.

"I may go out for a walk." Anne really did wake up. She was sitting on the bed and playing with the lamp on the nightstand.

Seeing me, she said softly, "Mom, I am hungry!"

I nodded and said to the phone, "I need to cook for Anne. We'll talk later."

"Alright!" he replied. His voice was warm and gentle.

After hanging up the phone, it was not long before the doorbell rang. It was probably the takeout.

I opened the doorand was met with the sight of Ian carrying many items. Seeing that I took a long time to answer the door, he could not help but ask, "Did you fall asleep?"

I smiled, "No, aren't you at work? Why are you here?"

He brought the bags into the kitchen, sighed helplessly and said, "The refrigerator is empty. Why would I be at work? You both haven't eaten anything yet, right?"

I nodded. Anne was already hugging his thigh while shouting how hungry she was.

He handed over the desserts he'd bought for Anne and said softly to her, "Eat a little bit first. I'll cook for you later."
