My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 642

I was stunned for a moment and my heart skipped a beat. I turned around and saw Shirley with her blonde hair, standing at the door. Who knew how long she had been there for?

Compared to when we first met, she had gained some weight; her stomach bulged slightly. Perhaps she was pregnant. Her long, blonde hair was tied up in a bun, her blue eyes stared at me in shock and helplessness.

I got up and called out to her subconsciously, "Shirley!"

She looked at me in disbelief as tears welled up in her eyes. "You and Irvin have known each other all this while?"

She looked at Irvin and said in a hoarse voice, "So, the room which you won't allow me to enter belongs to her? The woman whom you've been doing your best to protect, is her? The woman whom you call out to when you wake up in the middle of the night is her?"

Irvin frowned and looked displeased. "Who let you in?" He asked, a hint of displeasure and disgust in his tone.

Shirley smiled, but her eyes were filled with grief.

"Do you want me to leave? If did, are you going to run off happily with her?"

I pursed my lips. I could hear sounds coming from the leisure lounge. Anne had probably woken up by the ruckus.

I stood up. I had no intention to explain myself. I looked at Shirley and said, "I'm sorry. It was inappropriate for me to be here. I have my own family and children, and I have someone that I love."

After that, I turned around and walked into the lounge. Anne was already awake. She scrambled her tiny body out of the bed, her fluffy hair slightly messy.

When she saw me, she ran towards me before she could even stand firmly. "Mommy, did you get into a fight with other people because of me?"

I was stunned. I shook my head and picked her up. "No, Anne, it has nothing to do with you. It was a talk among us adults."

She seemed to be blaming herself. She buried her head into my chest and said with a muffled voice, "Mommy, did I cause you a lot of trouble?"

I shook my head, feeling a little distressed for her, but also a little lost. I brought Anne back to Jarold City to give her a promising future. But now, I was not so sure it was the right decision to make. Had

I made the wrong choice?

After leaving the lounge, Shirley was in a foul mood. She looked at me, her eyes no longer as beautiful as they were four years ago.
