My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 641

When I called Irvin, I was in a cab with Anne in my arms.

When he picked up it sounded very busy on his end, with the noise of documents and clacking of computers. Even so, his voice was warm, he asked, "Have you eaten?"

"Let's meet up!" I said. The cab was already heading towards the Granger Group.

After a moment of silence, he responded, "Sure!"

The cab stopped in front of the Granger Group. Anne laid her head on my shoulder; she dozed off after she had finished crying.

Two pretty ladies manned the reception desk at the Granger Group's huge lobby area downstairs.

I didn't go forward to ask about Irvin. From what I knew about Irvin, he'd be coming down here himself.

As expected, he arrived in the lobby five minutes later.

Seeing that Anne had fallen asleep, he frowned and reached out to carry her, but I dodged him. I asked, "Should we talk elsewhere, or right here?" People had taken notice of him ever since he got

here.

He furrowed his brows and said, "Let's go to my office. There's a rest lounge, let the child rest properly on the bed."

I nodded. I refused to let him carry Anne, and followed him upstairs on the president's private elevator.

After four years, the Granger Group had almost doubled in size, and even the president's office had been renovated into two luxurious stories.

After placing Anne on the bed, I took a seat in the meeting lounge. He asked his secretary to serve me some tea. Since it was my first time here, people couldn't help but steal a couple of glances at me. This wasn't all that surprising, considering that I was also currently under public scrutiny.

"What would you like to eat later?" He didn't seem to mind my reason for meeting him, but only asked what I wanted to eat.
