When the two secretaries heard what I said, they couldn't help but look at each other in surprise. They were probably shocked by my marriage to Hendrix.
Looking at Sierra, I continued, "People should always think of the consequences their actions can bring. Miss Noland, if I were you, I'd go home immediately to pack up and bring your mother somewhere safe for a while. Think about your future and start planning for it. Stop loitering around the Roberts Group. Hendrix's patience and tolerance are limited. As soon as he finishes the task at hand, no one can guarantee that he won't alienate you."
Sierra's face went pale, "What do you mean?"
A woman's voice interjected, "She's being pretty clear! All Hendrix did was stop your path to stardom but he spared you your life! If you continue to cause trouble, he could possibly get annoyed and ruin your future for good."
I was surprised for a moment. Turning around, I saw Freya, who had arrived some time ago. She was dressed in a modern black suit as she leaned against the elevator door with her arms crossed in front of her.
There was a faint smile on her face. When she saw me looking at her, she smiled brightly, "I haven't seen you in four years. You've gained weight."
This woman...
What a way to start a conversation. Did she have to be this straightforward?
I couldn't help but laugh, "Hovell has been good to me."
She shrugged and walked towards me, "That's probably true. You look good."
