The atmosphere was quiet as we walked back along the stoned path. A charming female voice suddenly sounded, awkwardly breaking the silence between us.
"Mr. Reid, no matter what, I have to thank you." This voice sounded unfamiliar.
I looked over and saw Aaron. Standing next to him was the secretary that Sawyer brought along; I didn't manage to see her clearly before.
The girl looked a little familiar, but I couldn't recall who she was at the moment.
I pulled Yana along and was about to go over to greet them, but before I could get close, I saw the girl tilting herself towards Aaron.
Her voice sounded tender. "Ouch!"
Apparently, she had sprained her ankle. Aaron, who was a gentleman, reached out and lent her a hand.
There was nothing wrong with this scene at first, but when I saw the girl taking advantage of the situation as she leaned into Aaron's arms, I subconsciously furrowed my brows.
I instinctively turned to look at Yana. Her eyes were blank and emotionless; it looked like she was already used to this.
I felt angry for her. I said, "Wait here."
I then strutted towards the both of them. When Aaron saw me, he instantly pulled away from the woman. He said to me, "It's cold outside, don't stay out for too long, you might catch a cold."
I nodded. "Yana's over there. Go and keep her company!"
Hearing Yana's name, he frowned and pursed his lips. He wasn't pleased at my request but he couldn't find a reason to refuse me.
Hence, he nodded his head.
The woman who had initially been leaning on him was a little startled when she saw me. She straightened her back and distanced herself from Aaron.
