"You're back early?" I glanced at the clock; he would normally still be at work at this time. Although the company's condition had stabilized after the scandal, there was still much for him to take care of since the year was coming to an end.
He stepped forward and observed me. He raised the corner of his mouth and smiled, "You look gorgeous!"
"That's irrelevant." I pursed my lips and walked up to him. I instinctively reached out to pull him closer to me. "Freya and Zachary will have their wedding at the hotel. She asked me to be her bridesmaid."
That was a good explanation for why I was dressed like this.
He nodded and said in a gentle voice, "Let's go together then!" His eyes fell on the other three people who were still in shock. He said, "Thank you for your hard work everyone. My wife will be going to the wedding with me. I won't be seeing you off then since you all came here by car."
The three makeup artists nodded. The short-haired girl looked at Hendrix with surprise evident on her face. As she followed the two men into the car, she muttered quietly, "I thought it was just a rumor. I didn't expect Miss Reid to really be Mr. Roberts' wife."
After they left, I looked back at Hendrix and asked, "Don't you have to go to the company?" It was a weekday and it was still noon. Why did he...
"I'm not busy enough to not have time to accompany my wife to a wedding banquet," he teased with a faint smile. He adjusted my shawl for me to keep me warm at all times.
Pulling me to the car, he put his coat on my shoulders and reminded me, "The weather is chilly, don't catch a cold."
I nodded with a smile on my face. "Today's really a good day."
He smiled and started the car.
Freya was a bold and outspoken woman who loved freedom. That was why she chose a five-star hotel that was located in the rural areas.
That day in December, there were only plum blossoms and chrysanthemums that bloomed in Jarold City.
However, for the sake of the wedding, the Moore Family had arranged for all the flowers that could be found blooming from all over the country to be sent to the hotel.
Flowers from all seasons were gathered and aligned nicely at the entrance of the hotel. Everywhere my eyes set, the space was filled with flowers, making the entire place seem like it was enveloped in a field of flowers.
