Watching as her face sank, I continued, "You obviously have many chances to get your way in his life, but you failed. Do you know how miserably you lost, Andrea? You lost your dignity and pride as a woman, yet you still failed to make a man fall for you. He even began to detest you. In a period of four years, you didn't even come close to replacing Sierra. At least, she could go to functions with Hendrix while he practically forgot about you."
"Nonsense!" Andrea wailed. "You don't know what you're talking about. Sierra is just a high-class prostitute. Why should I compete with her? That's ridiculous."
I laughed, "Should I thank you then? If you really have the guts to continue sticking around to make Hendrix fall in love with you, then I'm fine with giving you a chance, but you lack the guts. If you did, you would not have come looking for me every now and then to mock me. Hendrix doesn't even want to look at you. If it were not for Casper, he would be annoyed by just looking at you. You came looking for me all because you wanted your existence to feel significant."
As long as some form of affection was present in a relationship, a couple could still be in love ten years down the road.
However, Andrea had nothing. All she had was the feeling that she had been wronged because she wasted ten years of her time.
However, she could not go to Hendrix because she was afraid that he would be disgusted by her.
"Okay, okay!" A smile crept onto Andrea's face after she cried. It was a sad, pitiful smile.
She parted her lips, and her tears fell into her mouth. "Since it has come to this, I don't mind destroying you. Hendrix loves you, right? Without you, he will suffer. Since I can't get what I want, what makes you think you can?"
She took out a knife from her bag, and with her dark eyes darkened, she raised the knife and rushed towards me.
This caught me by surprise. Why did she have a knife with her?
I was so shocked that I had no time to dodge the knife that was coming right at me. My heart thumped; I wanted to hide, but it was too late.
I closed my eyes and waited for the stabbing pain to spread across my being, but nothing came. When I opened my eyes, I saw Hendrix.
