My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 762

My first instinct when I awoke the next morning was to avoid Hendrix the moment I saw him.

But I was one step too late; he had noticed my slightest of movements and reached out to hold me closer. "Why are you avoiding me?"

What should I reply?

I took a look at him, and my throat felt dry and uneasy. "Hendrix, we should sleep in separate rooms."

If it went on like this, I would be a goner.

He raised his eyebrows and looked at me enticingly, "Do you know any married couples who sleep in separate rooms?"

I nodded and said very seriously, "Yes. In fact, many couples do."

He hummed a reply and continued holding me in his arms. With a smile on his face, he said, "Well, we won't. We'll never do that."

I closed my eyes in defeat. "You should head to work."

"There's no rush. I can still lie in bed for a while longer." His raspy voice in the morning, and the scent of his body from the wild night before was sending tantalizing shivers across my being.

I felt a familiar, beastly urge surge within me.

Holding his hand and looking at him, I said awkwardly, "Hendrix, I'm a little tired."

However, it was as if I had not said anything.

Our kiss was warm as we intertwined our bodies. The bedroom was so much warmer than the chilling winter outside.

If he couldn't control himself in bed, I could really be a goner.

Fortunately, there was work to tie him down, so he restrained himself.

We rolled around in bed all morning.

Hendrix came out of the bathroom with a big, goofy smile on his face. He looked at me and asked, "Are you going out this afternoon?"

While speaking, he dried his body with a towel.

I laid in bed, feeling exhausted. "Yana is going through her confinement. I want to do some shopping."

He nodded, "I'll ask Evan to send you there." He wiped his hair, and the well-toned muscles on his abdomen made it hard for me to look away from him.
