I hesitated for a moment before walking into his bedroom. As expected, I saw iodine and bandages on the bedroom table.
He coughed when I turned back to look at him. "It's just a small wound. I'll be fine after I clean it up!"
I looked at him with pursed lips, "I'll help you!"
I had led him towards the sofa and made him sit down before he could reject me. When I stretched my hand out to unbutton his shirt, he suddenly grabbed hold of it.
I frowned, looked up at him. "Mr. Milton, dealing with the wound is more important now."
He was stunned for a moment. With a faint smile on his face, he let go of me.
I unbuttoned his shirt, and saw the bloody wound on his waist. The blood from his wound had begun to seep out.
I couldn't help but frown. This man had an incredibly high pain tolerance. I originally thought that he had been injured by an automatic weapon.
However, it was clear after cleaning up the wound that he had been stabbed by a wooden stake.
I couldn't help but ask, "How did you get hurt?"
"I bumped into it while fighting!" He said, indifferent. "It didn't hurt any vital organs, so it's serious!"
I was breaking out in a cold sweat. If he had been stabbed slightly more to the side, his kidneys would've been ruined.
There were many wounds on his body, but as he said, they were all minor injuries. Only the wound on his waist was the most dire.
I lowered my head to help him clean up his wound. There was no anesthetic around, and although iodine was not as painful as alcohol, it would still leave the wounded feeling quite a sting.
Seeing his lack of reactions to the pain, I could not help but ask, "Does it hurt?"
He looked sideways at me and replied with a smile, "It doesn't!"
How could it not hurt? The wound was as big as a finger. He was made of flesh and blood. So, how could it not hurt?
I sighed slightly. "You can say if it hurts. How could such a big wound not hurt at all? You're not Iron Man."
The wound kept bleeding. I sprinkled some hemostatic medicine on the wound in an attempt to stop the bleeding.
