My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 926

My grandma used to make flour porridge for me when I was a child. She'd boil the water first, then put the flour into the water once it was boiled, and stirred the mixture while waiting for it to be cooked. The flour porridge would be done after ten minutes.

It was thick and melted in your mouth. Although it was nothing fancy, it was a good stand- in for soup.

I saw Sebastian lying in bed with his eyes closed when I went back to the bedroom. It seemed he had fallen asleep.

I whispered, "Mr. Milton, are you asleep?"

He didn't respond. I put the flour porridge aside before helping him pull up the quilt.

He unexpectedly grabbed hold of my hand. Shocked, I looked down and saw him staring at me.

I was a little surprised. "Did I wake you up?"

He smiled and shook his head slightly. "No, I wasn't sleeping."

As he spoke, his gaze had turned to the bowl next to him. "What did you cook?" He asked.

I withdrew my hand and walked up to him with the bowl in my hand. "There's not much ingredients in it. I only found flour, so I made some flour porridge. Have a bite and see if it's edible."

He tried to get up, but the wound made him gasp in pain.

I stretched out my hand to help him up. However, I moved too quickly, and ended up falling right on top of his body!

"I'm... I'm sorry! I..." This was an awkward position to be, but fortunately, the bowl in my hand had not toppled over.

I put the bowl down and helped him up again. I caught him staring and I explained in a panic, "I didn't mean it just now. I just wanted to help you up, but I lost my balance."

He chuckled, "I know!"
