Melody stared at Jadie with her beautiful eyes, silently vowing to avenge this humiliation in the future.
"Jadie, are you done sparring? Isn't it my turn now?" At that moment, a burly man approached while holding a crimson sword. It was one of the three great spiritual weapons of the Ink Veil Sect.
"Erwin, you're at the middle stage of the Mystique Loyalty Realm, and you’ve already perfected your Starfall Sword Technique. Aren't you just blatantly trying to bully her?" Jadie pretended to be angry, her tone suggesting that she had a close sisterly bond with Melody.
Erwin smiled faintly. "If you can spar with her using only early-stage Profound Reality Realm abilities, why can't I?"
Jadie covered her mouth and laughed softly. "Hehe, I’m just afraid that she might not be willing.”
Erwin raised an eyebrow. "Aside from First Senior, no one in the sect dares refuse to spar with me!" Then, he fixed his dark eyes on Melody as he asked, "Do you refuse?"
Melody clenched her fists, then quickly relaxed. She kept her face expressionless. "Second Erwin, please proceed."
Erwin joined the Ink Veil Sect at 12 and was now 75 and in the middle stage of the Mystique Loyalty Realm. His mastery of the Starfall Sword Technique was unparalleled. If he used his true energy, he could easily destroy a mountain peak.
He held a high status within the sect. Apart from First Senior, the elders, and the sect master, everyone feared him.
It was rumored that he could enter a berserk state with the help of his spiritual weapon, which enhanced his power by a small realm.
Melody followed Erwin to the open area.
Erwin gripped his sword with his right hand, placed his left hand behind his back, and said calmly, "I’m your senior, and I don't want you to think I'm bullying you. So, I'll only use one hand and suppress my power to the early stage of the Profound Reality Realm."
Melody clasped her hands together and said, "I'm ready!"
Erwin, with an air of arrogance, replied, "Make your move. I'll give you the first three strikes!"
Hearing this, Melody gripped her sword with both hands, positioning it vertically by her right shoulder. Then, she launched herself at Erwin at a blinding speed.
Erwin blocked her strike effortlessly, and a cloud of dust rose around his feet.
