"Palace? Could it be the residence of immortals?” Zaid's eyes sparkled with excitement. If it was, then the place had to be loaded with treasures. It would be a great opportunity!
Dante frowned slightly. "What kind of palace?"
The disciple replied gravely, "It has towering spires and pointed arches. The architecture looks more Western.”
At this, everyone’s faces changed. Western architecture meant that it had to be a gathering place for Western cultivators. Could it be an artifact left by the gods of the West, just like the nine-story tower?
Ryan drew his god-slaying sword, a palpable fighting intent exuding from him as he roared, "Prepare for battle. They're hostile!"
"Stay calm. Let's figure out what it is first. If it's truly a place left by the gods of the West, its power should not be underestimated,” Eric reasoned.
Ryan sneered back, "Coward! If you're afraid, just hide in the tower!"
Murdoch was named the army’s God of War, and Ryan inherited his legacy. He was inherently battle-hungry. He could not wait to confront those Western cultivators.
"Know yourself and know your enemy; a hundred battles, a hundred victories. You've seen the tower’s power. It can repel even Titans. If that palace is indeed a creation of the gods of the West, we can't contend with it,” Eric said again calmly.
Ryan snorted. "Then you can continue hiding in your shell like a tortoise. I'll go and test them myself!"
With that, he carried his god-slaying sword and headed toward Blacksoil.
"Ryan, come back!"
Just then, Nash's voice echoed from within the nine-story tower. The voice was ethereal with a reverberating effect.
It shook Ryan to the core, and he turned to look at the nine-story Chaos Tower.
