My Substitute CEO Bride (Nash Calicraft) novel Chapter 2068

The leader of the Shadow Warriors drew his demon sword.

"My ambition is certainly not limited to this! Demon sword, submit to me!"

In an instant, black smoke began to billow through the sky and was noticed by Nash and the group who were approaching from the distance.

"This aura! There's no mistaking it!" Alfius said confidently. "This is the Rain of the Village's aura! The same one that summoned the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons!"

"Looks like the Shadow Warriors are well prepared," Alfius noted before turning to Nash and Mosley. "Thank you for your help before, but I can't ask for anything more from you. The airport is nearby, so if you wish, you should leave the country as soon as possible."

Mosley retorted, "Huh? Are you serious? I think that renowned blade has dulled your senses."

"We'll help you with your revenge before we leave," Nash added.

Ply and Alfius looked at them with concern. Ply then took out her phone and handed it to Nash and Mosley. "Take a look at this."

"What? A meteorite? Right on the South Warden's residence?!" Nash exclaimed with a hint of surprise. He quickly pulled out his phone and called Clint, but it was Salem who answered the call.

"Hello? Who is this?"

"Clint! It's me, Nash! How are things on your end?!" Nash asked urgently.

"Oh, it's you, Commander Calcraft. Mr. Melton is still sleeping in," Salem replied.

"You are? Zaafea?" Nash asked when he recognized the distinct tone.

Zaafea said nonchalantly, "Yup, it's me. It's quite something, trying to sleep yet having all this trouble stirring up."

"Who did this? Who is responsible?" Nash asked again.

"The Church of the Netherworld, of course. Who else could it be?"

"They summoned a meteorite?"

"Yes, their leader," Zaafea added. "The man, I forgot his name, he can absorb all kinds of powers for his own use. This meteorite is something he absorbed using the power he previously took from the Sky-Devouring Demon God.

"No wonder only the body remained then. It was probably the bargaining chip between the Illuminion and the church."
