Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 250

Abigail was infuriated by her daughter's logic. How could she, a shrewd woman her whole life, have ended up with such a love-struck daughter?

She snapped, "The Holt family is a pit of fire. I'm warning you, stay away from West, or you'll ruin your own future and lose what you have now."

"You don't need to tell me what to do!" Marjorie retorted defiantly.

Seeing her daughter's attitude, Abigail's anger flared, and she was about to lash out when Clark's voice came from outside the door.

"Marjorie? Mrs. Sullivan? Are you in there?"

"Yes, yes! We're here! Coming!" Abigail shot Marjorie a look of utter disappointment.

When she opened the door, her face had transformed, now wearing a gentle smile. "Clark, dear, you must be hungry. I'll go make dinner right away!"

Marjorie took a deep breath, composed herself, and followed her mother out of the room. She wasn't going to hang all her hopes on one person. As long as she wasn't married, anything was possible.

She saw no hope with Clark anymore. Putting aside his family's wealth, Clark himself was useless. He couldn't do anything, he wasn't good-looking, and he was unhygienic. Sometimes she noticed he didn't even brush his teeth at night and wore the same underwear for days. The thought of spending her life with someone like that was enough to drive her insane.

If Clark could change his bad habits, she might be willing to stay with him. For now, she would wait and see.

An idea formed in Marjorie's mind. As for West... she could start by getting closer to the people around him.

That afternoon, Marjorie used the excuse of going shopping with friends to leave the house alone.

Clark offered to go with her, but she turned him down flat. "It's a girls' day. No boyfriends allowed."

With that, Marjorie left.
