Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 385

It was Marjorie who had arranged for Winnie to request Haley.

Winnie was already infected with HIV; it just hadn't been discovered yet.

When he had sex with Haley, he would naturally transmit the virus to her.

She wanted Winnie and Haley to be together, to pass the virus to Haley as payback for all the bullying she had endured.

A mocking smile played on Marjorie’s lips. West, did you like the little gift I sent you?

Meanwhile, Janina and West followed Winnie all the way back to his apartment complex.

Just then, a message arrived from Kenneth.

Janina opened her phone to find a short video.

She played it and saw a man.

The man’s height, build, and gait were identical to the person who had entered the kitchen of The Tasting Room in the surveillance footage.

And this time, his unmasked face was clearly visible.

“West, take a look. Do you recognize this person?”

West leaned in, watched the video, and shook his head firmly. “No.”

“Kenneth just sent this to me. He’s made some progress. Now we just need to find out who this man is colluding with.”

There were so many businesses in Clayborne City, and The Tasting Room had countless competitors. They couldn’t investigate every single rival.

To this day, West still believed a competitor was behind this.

He couldn’t understand it. The Tasting Room wasn’t the only popular restaurant, so why were they targeting him specifically?

Janina then messaged Kenneth back, informing him about Winnie’s situation.

The next afternoon, Janina and West arranged to meet with Kenneth.

However, in the underground parking garage, they ran into Marjorie.

West understood. It really was an inside job.

“But what’s the motive? Even if he was unhappy with my decisions, why would he try to destroy me like this?” West felt that the human heart was the hardest thing to fathom and the most terrifying.

A colleague he had worked with for almost a year, friendly and polite to his face, had stabbed him in the back.

“He’s planning to open a restaurant, right? It might be related to that.”

At this, Janina suddenly thought about how Winnie had come into money so suddenly. She frowned and asked Kenneth, “Is there any way to check his recent financial transactions?”

“Yes, but it will take some time.”

“Besides Walsh, has Winnie met with anyone else?” West asked.

“The information I have so far shows that Walsh has been playing cards almost every day and occasionally goes to bars at night. He and Winnie don’t meet often. I only managed to capture this one instance.”

Playing cards!

Janina and West simultaneously thought of Winnie’s wife and her love for playing cards. Could Walsh know Winnie’s wife?
